MOONSTRUCK CHARMS ITS WAY INTO 2ND VOLUME
Moonstruck, the charming comic following werewolf barista Julie and her magical pals is making the jump from single issues straight to trade paperback with its second volume, Some Enchanted Evening. This volume, written by Grace Ellis and illustrated by Shae Beagle, picks up with the group trying to unwind at a party when a conniving fraternity of fairy bros throw a giant wrench into their plans. When one of their friends is trapped in the frat house and a notable night of magical mischief looming in the distance, it's up to the amorous werewolves and gregarious centaur to save the day.
“I'm beyond excited for our new trade format,” Ellis said. “Knowing that readers will be consuming it all at once—trade volumes are so bingeable!—really lets us pry open the world of the book and tell the story of Moonstruck the way it deserves to be told.”
While Moonstruck isn't exactly a spooky series, it does deal with werewolves and assorted monsters, so it's got the supernatural angle down. It's a fun comic that could serve as the gateway for kids or anyone interested to get into the horror genre.
Look for Moonstruck: Volume 2 – Some Enchanted Evening coming from Image Comics in February 2019.
